Title: Account Manager (Western, MA)
Reports to: COO
Department: Sales

We are looking to add experienced Account Managers to our growing team in the Western MA (Pioneer Valley) area.

Summary of Position:

Our Account Managers are ultimately responsible for growing sales of NSD portfolio products in their assigned territory. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professional and enthusiastic representation of the NSD family of products

  • Presenting the NSD portfolio value proposition (quality, profitability, etc.) to buyers

  • Establishing and maintaining a trusting and consultative relationship with assigned accounts

  • Developing specific territory/account plans to maximize long term success for assigned accounts

Qualifications:

At a minimum, candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • 3+ years account management in craft beverage industry. Distributor experience strongly preferred

  • Attention to detail, time management and organizational skills a must

  • Comfortable in a startup environment, adapt to and embrace change

  • Confident communicating with people across multiple functions, disciplines and experience levels

Note: Only candidates who are based in Pioneer Valley (preferably close to I-91) will be considered for these roles

Title: Studio Artist

Summary of Position:

The Studio Artist executes marketing materials needed across multiple channels to support brand and sales needs. You will work collaboratively with the Night Shift creative team to translate concepts and visual solutions.

This role will report to the Marketing Director and will be a part of the Night Shift marketing team. This role will also work closely with the Night Shift Distributing COO, Partner Brand Manager, Account Managers, and Brand Ambassadors to get a full understanding of the marketing needs for brewery and wholesale support.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable

  • Work with a wide range of media, including graphic design and photography editing software

  • Review all deliverables for errors before sending to print or publish

  • Design event materials (flyers, FB events, social content, etc.) to promote awareness and drive attendance

  • Create point of sale assets to drive revenue

  • Support the creative team on any other marketing needs (labels, sell sheets, etc.)

  • Input and manage workflow and schedule for deliverables; ensure delivery dates are met in a timely fashion

  • Ensure appropriate approvals of all design proofs through Director of Marketing

  • Conduct market research on the beverage industry and generate monthly updates to the larger marketing and wholesale teams

  • Ability to work nights/weekends as needed for events

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher; preferably a degree in Graphic Design or a related creative discipline

  • 1+ years in marketing-related field

  • 1+ years of graphic design experience, preferably in consumer product design

  • Photography and photo-editing experience

  • Brewery experience is a plus

Knowledge & Skills:

  • Understanding of high level design concepts

  • Strong Adobe Creative Suite skills with portfolio

  • Demonstrable photography and photoshop skills with portfolio

  • Ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines and focus under pressure

  • Must be detailed oriented and work well handling multiple jobs in a fast-paced environment

  • Practice critical, proactive, universal attention to detail

  • Working knowledge of beer styles, including origins and flavor profiles is a plus

  • Working knowledge of the craft brewing industry, channels, operations is a plus

Physical Requirements:

  • Visual acuity (with correction) to create visual presentations and design materials

  • Manual dexterity to operate computer programs

The work for this position requires occasional trips to the production floor, which involves multiple flights of stairs. It also involves the following:

  • Hot, cold, steamy, foggy, wet conditions

  • Noise (up to 90 dB)

  • Exposure to potentially hazardous chemicals, hot water, cold water, hazardous gases, and pressurized vessels

  • Exposure to machinery with moving parts

  • Wet floors

  • Occasional entry into confined spaces

  • Sitting, standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, climbing

  • Seeing, talking, hearing, tasting, and smelling

  • Lifting up to 55 pounds and moving up to 170 pounds

Title: Staff Accountant
Reports to: Controller

Summary of Position:

The Staff Accountant will assist in the accounting operations of the company by helping with various general ledger activities while helping to streamline vital accounting practices.  

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation

●   Maintain master data in ERP system related to accounts receivable customers and accounts payable vendors.
●   Enter vendor invoices into the system and issue timely payment to vendors.
●   Review and process credit card transactions and expense reports
●   Review incoming payments from customers and enter payments into system for timely accounts receivable reporting.
●   Provide Controller snapshots of accounts receivable and accounts payable daily.
●   Enter daily sales into ERP system for various consumer businesses, including taproom, brewpub and website.
●   Oversees all point-of-sale (“POS”) interface updates and ensures finance team is apprised of all changes in a timely manner.
●   Complete weekly audit of restaurant sales reports.
●   Archive weekly restaurant accounting documents.
●   Perform monthly closing procedures as assigned, including monthly reconciliations, closing journal entries, and periodic reporting.
●   Review and route finance department mail and deposit checks and petty cash.
●   Assist in the implementation of process improvements and best practices.
●   Complete other tasks as assigned by the Controller and finance team.

Education & Experience:

●   Associate’s degree or higher with accounting concentration.
●   2 to 3 years’ experience in accounting.
●   Brewery and restaurant experience a plus.

Knowledge:

●   GAAP
●   ERP Workflow related to accounts receivable, accounts payable and payroll
●   Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
●   Understanding of point-of-sale logistics and revenue recognition
●   Experience working with general ledger applications
●   Basic knowledge of applicable tax issues

Skills:

●   Process accounts receivable and accounts payable transactions
●   Prepare account reconciliations for accounts receivable, accounts payable and cash.
●   Valid drivers license
●   Strong analytical skills
●   Sound verbal and written communication skills
