Title: Bartender
Classification: Part-time, hourly, tipped
Reports to: Taproom General Manager
Location: 87 Santilli Highway, Everett, MA

Summary of Position
Bartenders are responsible for the experience that each guest has when visiting our Taproom. Bartenders are responsible for serving all of our guests quickly, professionally and with a friendly demeanor. Bartenders are also responsible for the general cleanliness of all workstations and guest facing spaces.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Greet customers promptly, within 45 seconds of their arrival, with a smile and acknowledgment. If you cannot get to a guest within the time frame, greet them and let them know you will be with them shortly.
  • Communicate with guests using clear words and enthusiasm, eye contact, and positive tone and body language. Make guests feel appreciated through your actions.
  • Be at full alert to guest signals, such as when they are raising their hands or looking directly at you, for orders.
  • Process guest payments using the POS system; make change accurately.
  • Work as a team with all Night Shift Brewing's personnel to maintain an effective atmosphere with efficient service.
  • Lead tours and educate our customers about our beer, beer in general, and the processes behind making it.
  • Be proactive about keeping the workspace behind the bar, the retail space, and the Taproom floor clean, with bathrooms clean and fully stocked.
  • Check identification of customers to verify they are of legal drinking age.
  • Recommend beers to customers that the Taproom has decided to highlight.
  • Limit problems related to customers' excessive drinking by following established procedures.
  • Arrange merchandise and packaged beer into attractive and functional displays.
  • Comply with all health, safety, and hygiene standards and policies.
  • Monitor inventory as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as needed.

Experience and Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • TIPS and/or Serve Safe certified
  • Crowd manager certified
  • Brewery experience a plus
  • Prior experience serving the public
  • Prior experience in fast paced hospitality environment

Skills

  • Effective communication skills
  • Efficient decision-making in occasionally stressful situations
  • Awareness of signs indicating intoxication of guests and other concerning factors
  • Ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision
  • Ability to make calculations and figure out change quickly

Job Title: Wholesale Delivery Driver

Summary of Position:
The Delivery Driver is responsible for safely and knowledgeably delivering Night Shift Distributing products to our wholesale accounts.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Basic job duties that an employee must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodation:

  • Load the Night Shift delivery vehicle with inventory
  • Deliver beer to all Night Shift accounts throughout MA (15-30 accounts per day)
  • Manage invoices and checks via the Encompass RAS system
  • Unload truck at end of day
  • Report to Management on a weekly basis to outline goals and tasks
  • Be punctual and professional, every day
  • Bring an energetic, cooperative, proactive, self-motivated attitude
  • Grow within Night Shift and expand your role as a key member of our team

Education & Experience:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Entry level to 2 years delivery experience.
  • Clean driving record
  • Wholesale Alcohol delivery experience a plus.

  • Safe Operation of the Delivery Vehicle
  • Familiarity with NSD delivery Area
  • NSD partner brands and their packaging
  • Proper beer storage procedure

Summary of Position:

Our Account Managers are ultimately responsible for growing sales of NSD portfolio products in their assigned territory.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Professional and enthusiastic representation of the NSD family of products
  • Presenting the NSD portfolio value proposition (quality, profitability, etc.) to buyers
  • Establishing and maintaining a trusting and consultative relationship with their accounts
  • Developing specific territory/account plans to maximize long term success for their accounts

Qualifications:

At a minimum, candidates must have the following qualifications:

  • First and foremost, be a craft beverage nut!
  • 3+ years of On & Off Premise craft beverage sales experience in the Boston/Cambridge territory
  • Be based in the Boston Metro area
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable source of transportation
  • Excellent organization and communication skills

Door Person Job Description:

  • Politely greet all guests and welcome them to our Taproom

  • Provide security at the front door of our Taproom.

  • Reliably ID every guests and stamp only those over 21

  • Assist in keeping the Taproom customers happy and following house rules

  • Lead tours and educate our customers about our beer, beer in general, and the processes behind making it

  • Cleaning the Taproom, bathrooms, stocking, sorting and inventorying

Job Expectations:

  • Display world class customer service with every single Taproom visitor

  • Arrive on time every day and complete tasks in an efficient, thorough manner

  • Able to work with a point of sales system and accurately handle cash

Summary of Position:

The Director of HR is directly responsible for employee happiness and facilitates the human resource processes at all business locations.  This role is responsible for working with the company’s leadership team to hire and onboard new team members as well as eventually build out the HR department and its processes. The candidate will need to have a dedication to enhance our desire to be a world class company on a path to always create better. The ideal candidate will also need to provide record-keeping, file maintenance and employee files up-to-date. The candidate will also administer employee health and benefit plans as well as act as a liaison between the employees and insurance providers.  Our ideal candidate is comfortable talking to all employees and being a great listener.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Acts as one of the first points of contact for employee inquiries (payroll, benefits, forms, etc.) ensuring best-in-class employee experience and knowledgeable interactions

  • Manage annual open enrollment period each year; distribute plan summary materials and required notices, assist with communicating changes to employees and arrange for onsite representation by providers.

  • Conducts recruitment and interview process including sourcing candidates, scheduling interviews, performing background checks, etc.

  • Coordinates training sessions and seminars

  • Conduct orientations and new hire onboarding.

  • Assists supervisors in performance management procedures.

  • Manages bi-weekly payroll process, ensuring all timesheets are received along with necessary approvals, recorded accurately and submitted within required timeframe.

  • Work with Finance to correct any paycheck errors immediately, distribute paychecks, and timely remittance of 401k contributions.

  • Support other functions as assigned.

Education & Experience:

  • Proven experiences as Director of HR or relevant human resources/administrative position

  • Knowledge of employment laws, processes and best practices

  • Strong ability to use software (Microsoft Office Word, Excel and HR databases)

  • Familiarity with recruiting, especially using social media to attract candidates

  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to handle data confidentiality

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher preferably in human resources, business or related field
