Rickey Weisse is a mixed fermentation sour ale aged with raspberries and limes. This relative newcomer to our sour lineup made a big splash when it first hit our glasses last year.
The flavor profile is inspired by raspberry lime rickeys, one of our favorite seltzer-y treats. Our goal with Rickey Weisse is to preserve the enticing duality of citrus and berry, while adding a bit of sour to the mix. You'll find us sippin' these poolside all summer long.
First Released: 3/5/2017
What is mixed fermentation?
We sat down with Head Brewer Joe Mashburn and Microbiologist Katie Miller to discuss our mixed fermentation sour process, and the ingredients involved it in. Learn more about how we create our Weisse series, and why we're so excited to have these beers available in 16oz cans!
